Art in Our Gardens

Our gardens are works of art! Sometimes it is fun to add other features that accentuate our spaces adding even more artist flare to our vision. Share your flare with us.

Add Garden Art Photos

natural art in garden — Oregon. My own aesthetic is to stay entirely natural if possible, using natural materials to create edging, supports, and “artistic” interest. The birds and I like it! Photo by Denise Cline.

art in garden — Pennsylvania. Emmit watches over the garden and I carved a bee for the gate.

art in garden — Michigan. I enjoy adding Garden Flags, Art Poles, bridges and other decor to my flower gardens to add visual interest and color year round. I change these features year round for the various seasons and holidays. Photos by Diane Rushlow.

rainbow painted wheel barro — Florida. Set a painted old wheelbarrow in the front yard Sunshine Mimosa in honor of Pride month. Planted with transplanted beach sunflowers, a muhly grass, and some coreopsis. Photo by Susan Saraceno.

rocks in garden — Quebec. We have decided to enhance one of our flowerbeds with this beautiful rock, which a fledging American robin seems to like a lot! It provides an oasis of calmness and freshness. Photo by Julie Lamontagne.

water and heron sculpture — Oregon. This heron metal sculpture was made by my son when he was in high school metals class. It sits by our pond where maidenhair fern, sword ferns, vanilla leaf, Oregon grape surround it.

full garden — Pennslyvania. I added a bee, insect & butterfly hotel and a flower pick ornament. My flowers are blooming, but some perennials I planted last year did not grow back. So I added more bee balm, black eyed Susan, dianthus, red coreopsis, yellow tick weed, morning glory & native sunflowers.

coco nut husks for garden liner — Florida. These coconuts are being repurposed as edging.

trellis — Wisconsin. We added trellises to the side of my husband’s garden workshop. The honeysuckle we planted has taken to them quite well! Lovely feeding station for the hummingbirds.

habitat for hummers — Maryland. I added shepherd’s hooks and railing boxes to add vines (Cucuzzi bottle gourds) and native flowers to create a habitat for hummingbirds and butterflies. It has worked!. Photos by Margaret Chang.
